FAQ

Units

  • What types of Units are there in the Game?
    You can use your military units to protect your Base, raid or occupy other Bases, and conduct join operations on the Zandian battlefield. You will also need them to engage in Search and Destroy Missions. All Units are divided into four different categories (Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Armor, and Combat Aviation) based on their speed, power, and performance statistics. Offensive Units have Offensive ratings that apply across all categories, while Defensive Units have varying levels of effectiveness against each category.

    Negotiate Contracts and construct Buildings to unlock new, more powerful Units. Renegotiate Contracts to increase their combat effectiveness.

    All units are classified as either Offensive or Defensive. Defensive Units perform poorly when attacking but are highly effective at protecting Bases, Defensive Search and Destroy Missions, Depots, or other map locations. Offensive Units are designed specifically for attacks, but have a low defense value.

    Units are recruited by expending Fuel, Munitions and Rations, or by using Diamonds at the Black Markets. Diamonds can also be used to instantly boost Unit production queues.

    GAME TIP - Secure your fighting forces and Resources at the Bunker in the event of an attack. Units and Resources inside the Bunker will be protected in the event of a Raid or Occupation. All Units hidden in your Bunker will not participate in any battles involving your Base.
  • What are Unit Statistics?
    Your military forces are divided into four different branches: Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Armor, and Combat Aviation. Units from each category have their own particular balance of effectiveness against Offensive or Defensive Units of each other branch. To view a Units' statistics, open the Military Building used its production and click the "i" icon. You can also access this information by clicking on the Unit icon in the Command HQ.

    Each military Unit has the following statistics:
    - Unit Type: To which class a Unit belongs (Light Infantry, Heavy Infantry, Armor or Combat Aviation);
    - Designation: Offense or Defense;
    - Cost: the one-time Resource expenditure needed to produce one Unit;
    - Capacity: The amount of Resources the Unit can recover on Raids;
    - Speed: The speed at which this Unit travels on the Map;
    - Production Time: The amount of time required to train one Unit;
    - Ration Consumption: The amount of Rations needed to support one Unit.
  • What is the difference between Mercenaries and other Units?
    Mercenaries are multi-purpose Light Infantry Units effective in both Offensive and Defensive roles. They require no Rations to maintain and can Raid large loads of Resources. You may hire three Mercenaries a day at your Mercenary Bar, but may raise this limit by up to 25 Units a day by purchasing Mercenary Kits from your Improvements menu. Your Friends can recruit Mercenaries above your daily limit for you by visiting your Base and clicking on your Mercenary Bar. You may maintain up to 50 Mercenaries simultaneously.

    When stationed at a Base as Reinforcements, a maximum of up to 2,000 Mercenaries may fight in a battle to defend the Base. In the event that over 2,000 are present during the battle, losses will be spread evenly across the total number of Mercenary reinforcements.
  • What are Strategic Units?
    Purchasing Strategic Units at the Black Market dramatically enhances the effectiveness of your regular Units' performance. A Strategic Unit deployed with a full group of supporting troops in its class will grant them a powerful bonus to their combat statistics.
  • Why do I need Defensive Buildings?
    There are two kinds of defensive structures - passive and active.

    Passive defensive structures include Walls, Gates, Towers, and Improvements. All of these additions contribute to your Base's total defense bonus, granting all your defensive units additional combat effectiveness when fighting off attackers. This bonus will only be applied to defensive units currently garrisoned in your Base and outside of your Bunker.

    Active defenses include Automated Gun Turrets and Artillery Emplacements. Unlike Walls, Gun Turrets and Artillery will actively participate in defensive battles just like one of your regular Units - unlike normal Units, when they're damaged they can be repaired and brought back online for free by you or by Friends as many times as needed, granting a considerable long-term advantage. Active defenses also contribute to your overall Defense Bonus. Defensive structures cannot be deployed to locations outside your Base.

    Note: There is no difference between Gun Turrets and Artillery Turrets aside from their appearance.
  • Misc. Game tips
    - Defensive Units are essentially useless when attacking but highly effective at protecting a Base or Depot. Conversely, Offensive Units are designed for attacks but have a low defense value. If your Base has tons of Offense and no Defense - don't be surprised when you get Occupied. A good tactic is to develop dedicated forces of either Offensive or Defensive Units tasked with either taking or holding Bases.

    - Turrets and other active defensive structures are an extremely good investment. When knocked out of commission they can be easily repaired and brought back online for free as many times as you want.

    Secure your fighting forces and Resources in the Bunker in the event of an attack. Units and Resources inside the Bunker will be protected in the event of a Raid or Occupation. All Units hidden in your Bunker will not participate in any battles involving your Base.
